My approach
Make peace with your thoughts and emotions, silence your inner critic and learn to welcome your authenticity. Increase your sense of peace and understanding in your relationships, learn to communicate in ways that facilitate connection and lessen conflict. Find clarity in your purpose and uncover what has been holding you back, keeping you feeling stuck. Identify triggers to feelings of anxiety, frustration, sadness and isolation. End feelings of unworthiness and shame. Maximize your potential, and express yourself authentically. I believe that everyone can benefit from exploring and processing their emotions. Often the work of untangling our thoughts, behaviors and feelings leads to breakthroughs that provide clarity, peace of mind and increased self esteem. The tenants of my practice are universal positive regard and radical acceptance. You do not have to go it alone.
I have received extensive training in the areas of Exposure and Response Prevention for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and other related Anxiety disorders; Trauma and Racial Trauma treatment interventions. I strongly recognize the importance of culture and respect cultural differences in my therapeutic approach. I believe that having a strong therapeutic relationship is one of the most critical elements of effecting change.
