Move from Feeling Alone and Misunderstood to Seen and Supported

You've spent so much of your life feeling like no one truly gets you

Maybe you're navigating identities that don't fit neatly into boxes (biracial, multiracial, first-generation, interracial couple, someone straddling two worlds that don't always make space for both). Or maybe your family expects you to be someone you're not. To make things worse, the world around you seems to keep telling you who you should be instead of accepting who you actually are.

You might be stuck in relentless thought loops (doubting, ruminating, second-guessing everything). You've tried therapy before but therapists launched into "have you tried..." or "why don't you just..." without really getting it. You left feeling more alone than when you started.

You're exhausted from holding back. From code-switching. From explaining. From feeling like something's wrong with you when really, you just need someone who understands.

I'm here to help

Together, we'll create space for you to be fully yourself (no people-pleasing, no performing, no defending). You'll learn to stop being so hard on yourself, communicate in ways that actually work, and figure out why you keep ending up in the same stuck place so you can move on.

You'll find the peace, clarity, and ease you've been searching for.

My story

Why I Became the Therapist My Father Never Had

As the Daughter of a Black Man Failed by Mental Health Care, I Know What Happens When Someone Feels Dismissed

My father suffered from mental illness. In the 1960s, as a Black man in unimaginable pain, he tried to get help from a therapist. The way he was treated (dismissed, misunderstood, invalidated) ensured he never spoke to anyone again about what was happening in his mind. He struggled for the rest of his life.

As a biracial kid, I felt unseen and alone in so many spaces. I thought feeling misunderstood was just how life would be. After many attempts at therapy with therapists who didn't get it, I gave up too.

But I also knew there had to be something better. I knew there was a need for therapists who understand you don't have to check a box or fit into a single category. I knew couples needed space to explore and understand each other (not pop psych tips and platitudes).

So I became the therapist I wish my father had and the therapist I needed as a young person trying to figure out where I belonged. This is why I do what I do. I’m here to help people finally get the support and understanding they may have struggled to find elsewhere.

everyone deserves to feel accepted

Helping People Feel Understood Gives My Life Purpose

There's nothing more meaningful to me than watching a client finally feel like someone gets them. When someone walks into my office carrying years of being mischaracterized, invalidated, bullied, and told they're "too” insert unfair adjective here, or "not enough" and then, for the first time, they experience what it's like to be truly heard, that's everything.

I love helping clients uncover their patterns and decide for themselves what they want to do with those discoveries. I love helping couples speak to each other in ways that lead to more connection instead of leaving them feeling awful and alone.

This work matters because everyone deserves to feel and be accepted. Everyone deserves a therapist who won't try to fix them or force them into a mold but will hold space for them to discover their true self.

I Bring Deep Listening, Openness, and Real Understanding to Every Session

I have a unique ability to:

Understand the complexities of dual identities, intersectionality, generational trauma, and navigating expectations that don't align with who you are
Use my personal experience (as a Black and Asian woman, as the daughter of someone failed by mental health care) to relate and empathize in ways that feel grounded and real
Actively listen without judgment and hold space for clients who have felt dismissed or been told to hide parts of themselves
Help clients think critically about their patterns without pressuring them to change before they're ready

Clients often tell me they've never felt so understood.

They share that I get them in ways other therapists haven't. They feel heard, believed, and are able to stop defending their experience.
