Active Allyship Cohort

The next 8-week live virtual cohort for practicing therapists begins January 19, 2027. Space is intentionally limited.

You took the cultural competency course. You earned the CEUs.

But then you're sitting across from a client and wondering...

  • Am I understanding this through their lived experience, or through my own lens?
  • Is race relevant here? Should I name it?
  • Am I missing something because of my own identities or experiences?
  • Is the clinical framework I was trained to use actually the best way to understand what is happening for this client?
  • And where do you ask those questions when you're afraid that asking them incorrectly might cause harm?

This 8-week clinical consultation community is designed to help therapists move beyond learning about cultural responsiveness and begin actively integrating cultural humility, intersectionality, and anti-oppressive practice into their clinical work with multiracial, biracial and BIPOC clients.

This is a high touch, live case consultation and advanced conceptualization group that provides real time answers and discussion.

You bring your questions, clinical dilemmas, and case conceptualizations. I provide consultation, education, challenge, and opportunities to examine how race, culture, power, privilege, systemic oppression, implicit bias, and your own positionality may be influencing what you see in the therapy room.

Together, we consider the client's experience from multiple perspectives, including perspectives that may challenge traditional diagnostic frameworks, assumptions about relationships and family systems, and the presumed universality of evidence-based practices.

The goal isn't to become an expert in someone else's culture.

The goal is to become:

  • More skilled at recognizing what you don't know,
  • More curious about what you may not be seeing,
  • More attuned to what the client might need,
  • More willing to examine your own assumptions, and
  • More capable of creating therapy in which BIPOC clients feel seen, understood, respected, and supported.

You don't have to arrive knowing all the right things to say. You do need to arrive willing to be curious, accountable, challenged, and changed by what you learn.

Space in this cohort is intentionally kept small to ensure you get personalized support, meaningful consultation, and real room to grow alongside a supportive group of peers.

The next 8-week cohort begins January 19, 2027. Space is intentionally limited. Email [email protected] now to join the waitlist and be the first to receive the application when it opens.
