Grow Into the Confident Therapist You Want to Be

sometimes you wonder if you're actually doing it right

You're gaining clinical experience, seeing clients, and doing your best, but sometimes you wonder if you're actually doing it right.

Maybe you're a pre-licensed therapist navigating the complexities of clinical work, feeling uncertain about your approach & overwhelmed by the responsibility. Or maybe you're a fully licensed clinician who understands the value of continuing to learn and hone skills, and you desire feedback about your technique. Perhaps you have a particularly challenging case that's got you second-guessing yourself.

Graduate school and traditional therapy training rarely address culture, intersectionality and social justice issues with warranted depth. Let's explore how to be an ethically sound clinician while addressing the real world fears, biases, and experiences you and your clients are both grappling with.

I'm here to help

Through supervision and consultation, you'll develop your ability to think critically, trust your clinical instincts, and show up with confidence. You'll learn to BE a therapist, not just DO therapy. And if you're working toward private practice, I'll give you full transparency into what it actually takes to run a successful practice.

Who This Is For

Clinical Supervision

I provide individual and group clinical supervision for:

Virginia and Washington DC

Resident Counselors and Resident Marriage and Family Therapists in Virginia, and Licensed Graduate Professional Counselors (LGPC) in Washington DC who are working toward full licensure, and fully licensed LPC’s.

Case Consultation

I offer case consultation for fully licensed clinicians across the DMV

Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) in Virginia and Washington DC
Licensed Professional Clinical Professional Counselors (LCPC) in Maryland

My Supervision & Consultation Style

Focused, Supportive, and Collaborative

My supervision style is focused and collaborative. I believe a supervisor's first responsibility is to help clinicians feel confident, increase your critical thinking ability, and clarify what your role is as a psychotherapist..

My aim is to ensure you're clear on your responsibilities to clients, clear on your requirements from the Board (both ethical and administrative), and that you feel supported while gaining clinical skills.

My philosophy is that supervision is successful when you know you have someone that you can lean on for support and information. When you feel confident growing into an autonomous therapist who knows how, when, and where to seek support and consultation. You'll have confidence in your practical skills, not just theoretical frameworks.

I'm collaborative and supportive while offering clear feedback. Your goals are my priority, as well as helping ensure you meet the expectations of the Board. I'm organized and prepared. My supervisees leave supervision with me feeling confident in their abilities and understanding their role as clinicians.

What Makes Me Unique as a Supervisor

I Focus on Critical Thinking, Not Just Clinical Skills

I have a unique ability to:

Understand and empathize with myriad worldviews, see many points of view
Help you develop your capacity to think critically and make sound clinical decisions
Support you in understanding who you want to BE as a therapist, not just what you want to DO
Provide clear, direct feedback in a way that feels collaborative and supportive
Offer full transparency into the business side of private practice

Supervisees often tell me they feel truly prepared

I'll Help You Start Your Own Private Practice

They share that I helped them feel confident in their own abilities, not dependent on me for answers. They appreciate that I'm organized, clear about expectations, and genuinely invested in their growth as autonomous clinicians.

If you're coming to work for my practice, I'll give you comprehensive supervision that includes full transparency into day-to-day operations. I know many pre-licensed clinicians face pushback or even sabotage from supervisors when they've completed their hours. I don't operate like that.

I want to help you start your own private practice if that's your aspiration. If not, after full licensure I'm happy to renegotiate your contract if you want to stay on.
